She could either have the Riots etched into her brain, or be repressing the memories fiercely. In the three instances that they have been in the same scene there has been no indication whether Cait knows who Faith is. I do wonder how much of the Riots Cait remembers and how she would feel about Faith leaving her. Sidenote: this could mean that Icarus knows Cait. Maybe (and this is really speculative and baseless) with such a focus on families and carrying on the family business/work in the story so far (particularly within the Conglomerate) Kruger felt that Cait could have ended up continuing on her parent’s path if left unsupervised. So for whatever reason Kruger took her in. She looks old enough to have known her own name yet not old enough to understand that she shouldn’t tell it to just anyone (I feel if Faith was in her position she might not have said her name). So if he didn’t know that Cait was a Connors this is where her age comes into play again - Kruger might have found out who she is because Cait told someone her name.

He appeared to know who their parents were beyond them being names on reports of dissenters, and was there personally for their deaths. It could be as simple as him knowing what she looks like, as he seems to know what Faith looks like, and KSec finding her near where Faith was spotted. Or maybe, since she was spotted by Kruger (and he could actually tell it was her) and the two of them are in a different room when Faith leaves her, they were attempting to run and something happened to Cait.īut Faith didn’t come back from wherever she was going, and since she is taken in by Noah after the Riots I think he or someone from his cabal found her and took her to safety, not listening to her wanting to go back for Cait.Īnd then there’s how Cait came to be with Kruger.

Faith kisses her before she goes, and it seems to me to be a ‘stay safe’ gesture as she goes to find help I don’t think she would just leave her little sister alone during the violent riots and after she had witnessed her parents being executed unless she had to. If I had to guess - when Faith leaves Cait it looks like Cait has fainted. And now the launch trailer has shown that there were pieces missing from her first dream, that Kruger actually spotted Faith watching from the window as her parents were killed, so there’s likely to be more pieces missing. Since Faith’s dream/flashback of the November Riots is her own recollection of the event and coloured by time and her feelings, there’s a chance that the scenes shown are slightly skewed or out of place. This is important because if she was too young to remember Faith there would no be no tension or drama to them meeting again - which they probably will. Cait is a few years younger than Faith, but not so young that she didn’t understand what was happening (she only says that she is scared, she doesn’t ask Faith what is happening), and not so young that she wouldn’t remember her family. The November Riots occurred 15 years before the events of Catalyst and both Faith and Cait look under ten years old at the time.

Plus how could you ignore the potential parallel between Faith’s sister being with the Conglomerate and Kruger’s son being with the Runners? There’s always room for doubt until it’s completely confirmed but I think after the launch trailer it’s all but undeniable. Looking at the Conglomerate and Cascadia’s history (it’s interesting, I swear), Faith’s sister, and also Kingdom and Reflection.
